What Members are Saying About MacDeveloper

I've been using MacDeveloper for only a couple of days now, but I'm just loving it! You get to know interesting software projects and get the chance to state your opinion on missing features or annoying bugs at the same time. More projects should participate here!

The best way to get a free key is really to use the application, because then you either love the workflow or find something how it could be easier. I've just made a few suggestions and got a free licence. As a power user I am very happy with that. Thank you MacDeveloper!

A great way to discover unique new tools and help out developers to shine some insight on user experience.

We thought Layers was pretty much ready for release when we opened a MacDeveloper Project. Thanks to its heterogeneus community of testers we found a couple of insidious bugs. MacDeveloper is a great tool for indies. The possibility to expand the beta cycle and reach out to more people is wonderful. But the killer point for us is the relation with the testers, the community. We've received very useful feature requests, good and kind feedback, and a fair overview of market reception. We have now a clearer idea of what to expect when hitting the real world. A must in any developer toolbox.

I am in the Beta Pool here at MacDeveloper and it's truly a unique and highly productive way to work together with the developers. What's great is that the site is so easy to use and that it has a clean design. Beta testing has never been this much fun!

I have been working in the windows environment for the last 11 years but since I switched to the Mac in 2003 I have learned that Macdeveloper has given me the chance to test out some of my favorite beta applications and even get apps that would normally cost me 40$, 50$, or even 100$ for free. I also thank the original creator of this nicely maintained website for maintaining this site with the newest application.

MacDeveloper is exactly what individual developers like me where waiting for. I already fixed several bugs pointed out by the beta pool. Thanks for this most useful service.

First of all, MacDeveloper has proven to be a wonderful beta testing service over the last few months. It has improved and grown since I joined, and I take an even greater deal of pleasure in testing apps and talking with the developers today. Plus, the site has a quite continuous freshness to it. Thank you again for maintaining MacDeveloper!

Looks really nice. The initial sign on process was very smooth. Bring on the feedback!

MacDeveloper is a great tool for a very small company like MacMation. It allows you to get helpful bug reports, without to have to maintain an army of beta testers. The quality of the bug reports is excellent. They cover a much larger base than what could be possible by keeping this process internally. It goes from crashing bugs to more subtle problem, such as UI flaws. It already helped to increase the quality of the beta tested application by several levels.

During my 12 years of developing software for the Mac, we always had to cobble together a force of beta testers for every product. It was not organized, scientific or simple. Now that has changed. MacDeveloper is focused on creating an army of professional beta testers and the mechanism that is available to any Mac developer. Just as they did with prMac, MacDeveloper works amazingly well for all the parties involved. The beta testers get great software, developers get feedback from hundreds of great testers. I would highly recommend this service but it would be giving away a major secret to being a successful Mac developer.

MacDeveloper has brought a ton of great feedback and request that I could have never got by manually finding beta testers. All the users are friendly and are offering constructive things to help my application. This has quickly become a vital resource for my developing process. The interface is easy and there are some innovative features.

Brilliant way of trying new apps out and helping out the developer at the same time. I like the way that you can earn the purchase of the apps. Thank you very much for this amazing site. It helps both the user and developer in so many ways.

prMac was already a great service, and now MacDeveloper has made it stupidly easy to connect with a large group of testers. I cannot understate how useful this is both for Mac developers and the users who will end up with better software because of it.

MacDeveloper has the potential to become another must-have service for developers. With its great features, clean and easy to use UI, finding beta testers has never been easier. The platform is an excellent way to improve communications, as well as tighten the relationship between developers and their customers. I wish I already had this for my first release! Highly recommended!
