What Members are Saying About MacDeveloper
I have no IDEA how I had never known of MacDeveloper before accidentally stumbling upon it. Apple should probably put MacDeveloper on their packaging for us (nincompoops) to get to know it sooner.
MacDeveloper is a great tool for a very small company like MacMation. It allows you to get helpful bug reports, without to have to maintain an army of beta testers. The quality of the bug reports is excellent. They cover a much larger base than what could be possible by keeping this process internally. It goes from crashing bugs to more subtle problem, such as UI flaws. It already helped to increase the quality of the beta tested application by several levels.
Looks really nice. The initial sign on process was very smooth. Bring on the feedback!
Amazing beta testing service on the Mac! We tested our Balance game on MacDeveloper and got great results. Received many interesting feature requests and fixed many small issues pointed out by the beta testers.
A great way to discover unique new tools and help out developers to shine some insight on user experience.
The best place to beta test a mac product I've ever found. The beta pool is just amazing -- beta testers give invaluable feedback and they're always willing to help you.
Brilliant way of trying new apps out and helping out the developer at the same time. I like the way that you can earn the purchase of the apps. Thank you very much for this amazing site. It helps both the user and developer in so many ways.
Within an hour of posting my application on this site, I had more users and more feedback than I got in weeks pushing my application on my friends. I am blown away by the amount of feedback pouring in and will definitely be using MacDeveloper.net for any future projects!
What a totally brilliant service. MacDeveloper is the most useful thing I've seen come out for developers in a long time. Prior to release we can now test out new versions of our product on a variety of different systems, and get really constructive feedback from sophisticated users. It's the perfect testing ground for developers using the agile software development techniques.
I have been working in the windows environment for the last 11 years but since I switched to the Mac in 2003 I have learned that Macdeveloper has given me the chance to test out some of my favorite beta applications and even get apps that would normally cost me 40$, 50$, or even 100$ for free. I also thank the original creator of this nicely maintained website for maintaining this site with the newest application.
After some procrastination I decided to give the MacDeveloper service a try for my upcoming release. I must say that I was quite impressed and my expectations were not only met but exceeded. The group of beta testers that are a part of MacDeveloper are very knowledgeable and skilled at beta testing. They are also diverse so when it comes to having an app tested on different OS versions, configurations, languages, etc. it's all covered. The beta testers are also polite and a pleasure to work with, as is the MacDeveloper staff. And the process and interface for using MacDeveloper couldn't be easier. I think that I can confidently say that using MacDeveloper will make anyone's app better and I would recommend this service to anyone. It has made a believer out of me! So once again thank you to Ray and his staff for this excellent service.
This is totally amazing. I got so much free software for clicking here and there to submit problem reports. Congrats for the great service! You've made it easy to get free software and to test a brainchild app out. Rating: *****
I've been using MacDeveloper for only a couple of days now, but I'm just loving it! You get to know interesting software projects and get the chance to state your opinion on missing features or annoying bugs at the same time. More projects should participate here!
I love MacDeveloper.net! It's simple and useful.
We thought Layers was pretty much ready for release when we opened a MacDeveloper Project. Thanks to its heterogeneus community of testers we found a couple of insidious bugs. MacDeveloper is a great tool for indies. The possibility to expand the beta cycle and reach out to more people is wonderful. But the killer point for us is the relation with the testers, the community. We've received very useful feature requests, good and kind feedback, and a fair overview of market reception. We have now a clearer idea of what to expect when hitting the real world. A must in any developer toolbox.
